Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is the governing body of the Washoe County School District. As such, the Board serves as the steward and guardian of the District's values, vision, mission, and resources. With clearly defined performance targets in mind, the Board will monitor the District's educational, financial, and administrative performance. The District's image and relationship with key stakeholders will be positive and contribute to the District carrying out its educational mission.
The Washoe County School District Board of Trustees is an elected board of seven members. Five members are elected from geographical districts. Two members are elected as at-large. All members serve four-year terms.

School Board Meetings are aired live, on Charter Digital Channel 200 " Truckee Meadows Learning Channel" in cooperation with Truckee Meadows Community College, Tuesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m..
